About Arteca
Arteca is an annual, invite-only art drop. For twenty-four hours, established masters and emerging voices release works side by side, and approved collectors take them home.
Discovery before price
Every work is shown first as a work: the artist, the story behind it, the medium and the dimensions. The price stays withheld until you ask for it. When you do, the full cost of bringing the work to you appears with it: framing, shipping, an estimate of duties, and insurance. Nothing is added later.
Masters and emerging voices, side by side
Each edition brings together artists at different points in their careers, each represented by their gallery of record. Collectors meet them on the same wall, on the same day.
One work, one collector
Every work is unique, an edition of one. During the drop, only one collector can hold a work at a time, and only for a short while. Works expected to be in demand open an allocation window instead of a race: interest is registered during a published period, and the work is allocated by a rule stated before the window opens, never after it closes.
A record that lasts
A certificate of authenticity is issued the moment a sale is confirmed, carrying the attestation of the artist and the gallery. Every step of the work’s journey is written into its provenance, from the venue to delivery.
In two languages
Arteca is written in Arabic and English. Every artist’s story is authored in both, and the interface mirrors to suit each.
